[Important!] A guide to prevent heat diseases caused by heat waves in summer

Recently, due to factors like climate change, the frequency of heatwaves has been increasing. In this situation, in order to minimize the damage caused by heatwaves and ensure the safety of participants during the festival, we provide the following guidelines for actions to take in case of emergency.

All the participants and guests, please be aware of guidelines. For teenagers participants, please make sure to understand the guidelines and guide your students accordingly so that they can acquaint.

Preventing Heat-Related Illnesses During Summer Heatwaves

A heatwave refers to a phenomenon where intense heat, usually above 30°Celcius, occurs in specific areas during the summer season. The Korean government operates a heatwave countermeasure period (May 20 - September 20) every year to prevent climate disasters caused by heatwaves.

To prevent heat-related illnesses, you must adhere to the three basic rules:

- Shade: Provide shaded areas (rest areas) near the performance venue.

- Water: Provide cool and clean water / Drink water regularly.

- Rest: Get some rest briefly and regularly after sun sets.

Immediate action must be taken when heat-related illnesses occur:

1. If there is an urgent concern about the risk of heat-related illnesses, take immediate action.

2. If you have any symptoms of a heat-related illness, please follow the steps below promptly.

3. You should check the health status before and after performances.
