Jeju Jeil High School Wind Orchestra was established on December 21, 1971, with a 21-member ensemble debuting at the Jeju Civic Center. Since then, the orchestra has played a leading role in the musical history of Jeju, producing numerous music educators and professional musicians. Currently consisting of around 50 members, the ensemble steadily improves its skills through regular practice during lunch breaks and after-school special talent sessions. The orchestra actively participates in events such as the Jeju Youth Wind Festival, the Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival, concerts for local residents, and the Jeju Education Culture and Arts Festival. Through these activities, it aims to nurture students’ artistic sensitivity and provide opportunities for richer cultural experiences.
