Duo Venti Wind Orchestra (DVWO) 듀오벤티윈드오케스트라 / Republic of Korea

포토
In 2022, a special connection began with a joint performance during a club exchange event between Yonsei University and Korea University. Wind players from Yonsei’s amateur orchestra “Euphonia” and members of the Korea University Wind Orchestra (KUWO), who had each cultivated their love for wind music at their respective schools, came together and shared the powerful experience of uniting through music. This encounter inspired the belief that “we can go further together.” What began as an exchange soon developed into a single wind orchestra, and through regular rehearsals and performances, they have built strong teamwork and deepened their musical expression. Currently, about 30 amateur wind musicians—15 each from Yonsei and Korea University—perform together under the name Duo Venti Wind Orchestra. United by a shared and genuine passion for wind music, they have grown into a solid musical community rooted in communication and solidarity. DVWO is made up of non-music majors who simply love wind music, and when they take the stage, they perform with sincerity and connection, sharing the joy of music with their audience. They now look forward to telling their story through music on the grand stage of the Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival.
