National Taiwan Normal University Alumni Symphonic Band continues a proud tradition and musical excellence that began more than 50 years ago. Made up of talented musicians from the NTNU Music Department and other fields, the group has earned recognition both in Taiwan and internationally. Led by Professor Yeh Shu-Han, a respected alumnus and long-time conductor of the group, the alumni band brings together members who now work in orchestras, music education, academy, and many other fields. Every summer, the alumni reunite in NTNU’s historic music hall to share the joy of making music together and celebrate their strong bong through a special concert. This year, the NTNU Alumni Symphonic Band will make its international debut at the 30th Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival in South Korea-an especially meaningful milestone. In 1995, Professor Yeh led the band at the very first edition of this festival, establishing a lasting bond between Taiwan and Korea through music. Thirty years later, he returns to Jeju with the alumni-bringing together original members from that 1995 performance and new generations alike-to celebrate this legacy.
