Shinjeju Wind Orchestra, established in 2020 in response to the enthusiasm of students, parents, and the local community for music, is now in its fifth year of active performance. Comprising 70 students from grades 3 to 6 at Shinjeju Elementary School, the orchestra is conducted by teacher Ko Inhee and performs a wide range of musical genres to cultivate musical knowledge and sensitivity. In 2024, the orchestra continues to nurture artistic sensibility and promote teamwork and empathy through various performances, including the Monwool-eong Festival, small concerts with fellow students, and its annual concert. The orchestra has also achieved remarkable accomplishments, including the Grand Prize at the 2022 JIBS Music Competition and a Silver Prize in 2024. Through the deep and rich resonance of wind instruments, the orchestra expresses the warm spirit of Jeju and the pure energy of children, aiming to share a bright and heartfelt harmony with the world—just like the clear breeze of Shinjeju.
