Founded in 2013, the GyeongNam Philharmonic Youth Wind Orchestra is composed of elementary, middle, and high school students from the Gyeongsangnam-do region, as well as professional musicians originally from the area. Believing that the values learned through music have the power to positively transform society, the ensemble actively engages in various cultural and artistic activities, including volunteer work and outreach concerts. What makes this group especially unique is that all of its members—gathered from different parts of Gyeongnam—are students of Music Director Joo Won-bae. Having studied music under the same teacher since elementary school, the members share a deep sense of trust and connection, allowing them to create a harmony unlike any other. With the energy of joy and the fanfare of hope created through their passion and talent, they eagerly look forward to sharing their music with even more people at the Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival.
