Wonhwa Middle School Wind Orchestra
Wonhwa Middle School Wind Orchestra was founded with the mission of fostering character development and emotional growth through music. Since its establishment in 2014, the orchestra has continuously worked to expand its repertoire and elevate its performance quality. It has earned excellent results at the Korea Wind Band Competition, the Daegu International Ensemble Competition, and the Korea Student Orchestra Festival. In 2024, it was awarded the Grand Prize at the National School Arts Education Festival held at Kyung Hee University's Peace Hall. The orchestra also participated in the Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival in 2017 and 2023, receiving enthusiastic acclaim from audiences both domestic and international. Supported by dedicated faculty, parents, and student members, the Wonhwa Middle School Wind Orchestra continues to grow, challenge itself, and reach new heights through the power of music.
Conductor Cho Won-woong
Conductor Cho Won-woong is currently dedicated to leading student orchestras, building on his experience conducting and performing with various municipal symphony orchestras and wind orchestras in Korea at major events such as the Symphony Festival, the Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival, and the World Orchestra Series. He participated in the 12th WASBE International Conference and completed an orchestral conducting masterclass with Piotr Borkowski, former principal conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of India. He is currently a music teacher at Wonhwa Middle School and serves as the conductor of the Wonhwa Middle School Wind Orchestra.
