The first Competition is to be held from 1 May to 6 December 2021.
It aims also promoting Jeju Island as the island of peace and culture and enhancing the national image of Korea.
Eligibility
Application is open to all living composers, who were born on 1 May 1981 or later, with no limitation as to nationality.
Submission of Works
- The JCCWE will consider new works for wind band which have never previously been performed (in whole or in part) or published and have never won an award.
- The submitted scores shall be anonymous, perfectly legible and with no signs or reference that could lead in any way to the identification of the applicant.
Types of Compositions
The works for wind ensemble of any style such as marches, suits, overtures will be welcomed. The score must be inspired by and based upon one or more Jeju folk songs of Seoujet-Sori, Bongjiga, and Gyehwa Taryeong. Music in three or fewer movements is recommended.

Instruments with asterisk(*) are optional.
Prize Fund
The laureate composers shall receive the following awards
